Oh Boy! My first meme-tag! Cool!
Hey there - Thanks for dropping by. I am not local either, but I used to be. Lived at New Kent & the Boulevard on south side and still get weepy when I drive that way. I'm down on The Rivah now, as reported each spring in the RTD.
And yes - it is a good job - though like any job - it has its down days. I've been lucky since my bosses have given me tons of freedom and lots of support. Plus, it's fun to spend boucoo bucks on books. You ought to see our knitting collection!
Hey Mary,
No. I don't write for the RTD, but they always run at least one article about summertime spent on "The Rivah" which usually means the Rappahannock, but could really be any Virginia rivertown - and I run the library in our little town - Tappahannock.
Westover Hills library was mine when I was growing up and I loved the chilren's librarian there. I started high school at George Wythe, then moved across river to St. Gertrudes and finished up at TJ - the alternative high scool now. sigh. time passes.
