Laurie, you're not crazy...

...or else, I am, too.

So that Laurie doesn't feel so alone in her taking pictures of knitting on tv craziness, I give you these images I took of the Antiques Roadshow a couple months ago:

That woman is making one smart use of her time waiting in line. Here's hoping her antique was worth millions, so she can afford lots of cashmere yarn. ;-)

We have to get together one of these days...let me know when you have some free time. I 'd love to have you over to my house. You don't mind messy houses, do you??

Did you ever see the Antiques Roadshow episode in New Bedford, MA? Because New Bedford was known in its heyday as a whaling town, the show featured several scrimshaw pieces from a local museum. The items prominently shown were a swift, knitting needles, and sewing items. The swift really floored me because it still worked!

You know, I commend this woman for knitting on TV. Because while I was knitting away at my daughter's (indoor) swim lesson yesterday, I realized that I'm about the only person I ever see knitting in public. And I live in Vermont! It's cold here. The winters are long and boring.

I'm about ready to start drop spindling in public and watch jaws drop.

Ooo. I drop spindle in public all the time and attract a crowd like the Pide Piper.

I couldn't help but wonder if that shirtwaist dress was the antique she was having evaluated? Seems to me I had one of those in 1964.

I love it!! That's classic. I thought of bringing my yarn to a meeting the other day at work...Hmmm. Wonder what would happen? :)

Well shoot I missed that one - how smart you are to think to take a picture of it (not to mention quick)
